How long will it take me to learn how to Meditate?
Most people can learn the basics of meditation in around 6 sessions, but developing a consistent and effective practice usually takes a few weeks to a few months of regular practice. People who are very stressed or just lack self- discipline often need the support of a longer course – just like when you hire a fitness coach – to keep you on track, Sydney Meditation Coach does just that.
A study referenced in the popular magazine Psychology Today concluded that it takes an average of 66 days for a behaviour to become automatic.
So you can’t expect to develop your skills by simply participating in your meditation course. Your meditation classes are spaced a week apart and you will need to engage yourself and with daily practice as well.
Do I need to be spiritual or religious to meditate?
No, meditation can be completely secular and is open to everyone.
Is this a religious group?
No, definitely not. We are not a religious group and as such encourage you to keep your own faith if you practise one.
What doctrine do you follow?
After having studied many forms of meditation to reach alpha, theta and delta states, this is a culmination of all of my studies. It’s about quietening the mind, accessing flow and reaping the benefits. I teach more from the perspective of quantum physics. You won’t need to become a Buddhist scholar or a Zen monk to be practicing efficiently.

Do you have meditation retreats at Sydney Meditation Coach?
Yes, I can organise retreats for 2 people or small groups. Please contact me to discuss.
If it’s simple, why does it take 6 or more sessions?
It’s quite normal, especially while under stress, for your conscious and subconscious to fight with each other for control. The conscious mind acts as a guard dog to the subconscious.
Therefore it takes a retraining of the mind for your conscious mind to accept it. We offer an experiential course in which it is easy for you to find that pathway. Habits take time to form. You’ll gain one that is a wonderful habit!
Is it better to learn meditation in a group or privately?
I always suggest that people earn in smaller groups with people who are friends, family or colleagues.
Whilst larger group classes offer community support, smaller private lessons offer personalised guidance.

Meditation for Insomnia Treatment - Sleep Specialist Sydney
Stress triggers the body’s fight-or-flight response, releasing hormones like cortisol and adrenaline that keep you alert and make it hard to fall or stay asleep. This creates a cycle where lack of sleep increases stress, further disrupting sleep patterns.
And when your deep sleep gets disrupted, you wake up with exhaustion & and spend the whole day in brain fog…
And when you are constantly exhausted not only does your general productivity nose-dive but lack of sleep leads to low happiness and can lead to chronic health problems, like heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, stroke, obesity and inflammatory illnesses, pressure and a whole lot more.
To sleep through the night, you need to retain your brain.
And the reason why … is because meditation balances sleep by calming the mind, reducing stress and anxiety, and it promotes relaxation, and it’s the single most effective way … which helps to regulate sleep patterns.
When you retrain your mind, your heart rate drops you get deeper and higher quality sleep and you wake up every morning feeling rested.
and WHEN you wake up every morning fully rested … not only will you be more productive and happier in your life – BUT deep sleep also strengthens your memory and immune system SO IT keeps you healthy and energised.
